Quick Note Tab

Scratchpad that opens with every new tab

Quick Note Tab replaces the new tab page with a persistent scratchpad so any idea, URL, or code snippet you type is saved automatically and always there when you return.

How It Works

1

Install

Add from Chrome Web Store. No account needed.

2

Click

Click the extension icon on any page.

3

Done

Instant results. Works everywhere.

The Problem

New tab pages are blank and useless when you have something to jot down quickly

Sticky note apps require switching windows — killing the flow of your current task

Notes typed into random docs or Slack get lost within hours and are never found again

Features

1

Persistent Scratchpad

Auto-saves everything you type in real time — closing the tab never loses data.

2

Markdown Rendering

Toggle between raw Markdown and a rendered preview with a single keyboard shortcut.

3

Multiple Notes

Create named note tabs to separate work, personal, and project scratch areas.

4

Sync Across Devices

Notes sync across all your Chrome sessions via Chrome Storage Sync.

Permissions Transparency

We believe in full transparency. This extension only requests what it needs:

storage — save your preferences locally
activeTab — read the current page only

We never access your browsing history, passwords, or personal data.
