Owlematic ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our services:
Account Data
Name, email address, and authentication credentials collected via Clerk when you create an account. We do not store passwords directly — Clerk handles authentication securely.
Payment Data
Billing information including name, email, and partial card details (last 4 digits, expiry). Full payment card data is processed and stored exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage & Analytics Data
Anonymized page views, feature interactions, and session data collected via PostHog. We use this to understand how products are used and where to improve them. PostHog is configured to respect Do Not Track signals and anonymize IP addresses.
Technical Data
IP address (anonymized), browser type, operating system, referring URL, and access timestamps collected automatically when you visit our website.

- — Payment records: retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations
- — Analytics data: anonymized after 90 days, deleted after 2 years

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
